Inspo
Your go-to poses and references, gathered, tagged, and one swipe away. For the mornings when your mind goes blank and you just want to see the shots you know work.
Open the boardThe real, free board opens on its own page, and it saves beautifully to your home screen.
What it does
A calmer camera roll for your ideas.
See the demo first
Land on a ready-made board built from my own weddings. Play with the tags, the filters and the swipe mode before you add a single image of your own.
Save it four ways
Upload a file, paste a screenshot (Ctrl or Cmd-V), or drag images straight in. Your go-to poses and references, gathered in one calm place.
Tag and find
Tag each image from a set tuned to how you shoot (couples shoot, wedding prep, dancefloor, families, newborns), most-used first, then search and filter by several at once.
Title and note each shot
Give an image a title and a note: the pose, or the exact prompt you gave. So on the day you remember not just the look, but how you got it.
Swipe mode for the day
A full-screen, one-at-a-time flick through your board, pose notes and all. Perfect for that moment in the car before a shoot when your mind goes blank.
Yours, and truly private
Everything is kept in your browser on your device, like a folder of screenshots on your phone. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is shared.
How it works
Save, tag, swipe.
No account, no setup. Gather the shots you love, give them a tag or two, and have them ready for the exact moment you need them.
- 1
Add what inspires you
Drop in screenshots of poses, references and your own favourite frames. Anything you'd normally save to a folder on your phone.
- 2
Tag it, and note the pose
A couple of taps is all it takes. Tags are suggested by shoot type and moment, most-used first, and you can add a title and a note: the pose or the prompt you gave.
- 3
Filter to the moment
Need calm morning-prep ideas? Filter by those tags and see just those. Favourite the ones you reach for most.
- 4
Swipe on shoot day
Open swipe mode in the car or between moments, and flick through your tried-and-tested ideas until your confidence is back.
A quick, honest word on copyright
Inspo is a private reference tool, the online version of saving a screenshot to a folder on your phone. It is not a place to store other people's work to publish, sell, or pass off as your own. Save only images that are already publicly visible, keep them for your personal inspiration, and always credit and take your lead from the original artist. Nothing you add is uploaded anywhere, it stays on your device.
Behind the build
A few things I thought about.
- It came from the folder of screenshots on my phone. On a nervous morning I'd scroll it for poses I trust, and I wanted that, but tidy, taggable, and quick to filter.
- Because it's just for you, the images stay on your own device. That keeps it free, keeps it private, and means there's no server holding anyone's pictures.
- It's a reference library, not a gallery to publish. Save images that are already public, keep them for your own inspiration, and never pass them off as your own or use them commercially. Think of it like your camera roll, not a portfolio.
- The 50-image cap in this free beta is on purpose. It's plenty to test the tagging, the filters and the swipe mode, and it keeps the on-device storage light.
- A one-tap back up lets you save your whole board to a file, so a cleared browser never loses your ideas. Syncing properly across devices is what a paid Pro would add.
Where it could go
Ideas for a Pro version.
The free board is genuinely useful on its own. A paid Pro is where the things that need a server live, storing your board in the cloud so it can do more.
Your own tags (Pro)
The free board tags from a curated set by shoot type. Pro lets you create your own tags and save tag sets, so the board speaks your exact language.
Location & venue tags (Pro)
Tag references by venue, then pull up every idea for the exact place you're about to shoot at. A gift whether you know the venue inside out or you've never set foot in it.
Save from a link (Pro)
Paste an Instagram post or a blog URL and it fetches and saves its own copy, so the reference never disappears when the original is deleted.
An unlimited board (Pro)
Lift the 50-image cap and keep as deep a library of poses and references as you like.
Sync everywhere (Pro)
A light login so your board follows you from laptop to phone, ready in your pocket for the moment you need it.
Shared boards (Pro)
Build a board with a second shooter or a couple, so everyone's on the same page about the look before the day.
Would this earn a place in your kit bag?
Tell me how you gather inspiration, whether the swipe mode helps on the day, and what you'd want from a Pro version. It shapes what I build next.
